The Fine Arts Camp is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever. From June 11 – 30, the youth program helps children of all ages develop their artistic talents and skills in a unique residential experience. Suitable for both elementary and middle schoolers, it’s the perfect option for extended stay guests traveling with children. If your kids love the arts and want a one of a kind camp experience, there are still openings available to blend the beauty of Alaska with the best in art training.
The camp has been operating since 1973 with over 900 students participating each year. Students come from over 40 Alaskan communities, 30 states, and five countries. Students have a variety of experiences and skill levels. It’s a place where friends are made for life, memories are created, and all types of artists gather together.
Fine Arts
“Fine arts” is broadly defined here and includes musicians, actors, dancers, performers, writers, and of course traditional visual artists. In addition to the staple camps, there are also adult camps, high school sessions, musical theater-specific camps, Sitka jazz workshops, and more.
If you’re looking to try something new, immerse yourself in the Sitka experience, and hone your talents or develop new artistic skills, take a look at the full descriptions and sign up for an arts-intensive experience.
