Mark your calendars for May 25 – 26 for the 24th Annual great Alaska Craftbeer and Homebrew Festival. Do you love gourmet beer and have a palate for the homebrewed variety? The Gourmet Beer Banquet kicks off the weekend on Friday night, leading into Saturday afternoon featuring local food paired with the best beer in town. Sample craft beer from distributors and breweries across Alaska, all set to live music and plenty of entertainment.

All revelers must be at least 21. Limited tickets are available, so you’ll want to get yours early at www.seakfair.or or by calling the SE Alaska State Fair office at 907-766-2476. There’s no better way to celebrate the long weekend than with great food, great beer, and the best entertainment in town.

Run Like a Salmon

Did you indulge a little too much at the festival? Work off those extra calories on May 26 at the 5k and 10k Slammin’ Salmon Run. Also hosted by the SE Alaska State Fair, it takes runners through the beautiful streets and backroads of Haines.
