All you need is a three-day vacation in Juneau for you to realize that this is the place that you want to spend your life at. Aside from the things that you can do here, its beauty will attract you and make you want more. Below are the three best adventures that you should not miss while visiting the area.

Climb Mount Roberts

Mount Roberts, the best way to get to the top of Mount Roberts is to hike up. You do not have to worry about the trailhead, as it is easy to access from downtown. During the hike to the top, you will enter a wooded temperate rainforest. The complete distance from the trailhead to the summit is 7 miles. Stopping at the tram station which is at 4 miles and the time that it will take depends on your pace. Once you finally reach the top, grab a beer to reward yourself.

Canoe to the Mendenhall Glacier Ice Caves

The Mendenhall Glacier is a top tourist attraction in Juneau. Most people only take short walks around the area but I suggest you dig deeper and explore more. Visit the Mendenhall ice caves, it will probably take some effort to reach it but it is all worth it. Another option is to take a canoe trip across the lake and land on the beach to the west of the glacier and hike up to the caves.
