Haines way back was originally called Deishú: a native name that was given by the Chilkat group of Tlingit that means “end of the trail”. Today, Haines’ economy still continues to grow and diversify. Fireweed restaurant is located at Blacksmith Rd Historic Building 37, Haines. It is above the dock area where you can enjoy the great view outside while having your meal. This restaurant has warm interior lighting and nice woodwork. Their menu includes salmon corn chowder, stuffed dates, Bison burgers and salmon with jasmine rice and Moroccan slaw. They also offer local beers and wines.

For tasty burgers, shakes and good service, try 33 Miles RoadHouse! It has a beautiful and peaceful environment. Their burgers and fries are superb and will make you order more! The service is swift and the staff is very hospitable. Definitely worth a try.
