Starting March 4th, pizza lovers are in for a real treat at Bullwinkle’s Pizza Parlor (318 Willoughby Avenue). Join Jeremy & Nathan & Friends for live, acoustic bluegrass and jazz every Saturday. Spring sessions kick off March 4th at this family-friendly establishment, where you’ll find some of the best pizza and beer in Juneau. Enjoy guitar picking, singing, and the sounds of the banjo and mandolin.
Bullwinkle’s is a staple of Juneau, opening in 1973 and boasting over three decades of pizza prowess. Ever since opening day, free popcorn has helped tide diners over while their from-scratch pies were being made. It’s the perfect, salty amuse-bouche before the main event.
Bullwinkle’s Today
Over the years, the menu has evolved to include sandwiches and salads, too. For sandwiches, try the pastrami with Swiss cheese, mayo and mustard on rye bread. The French dip features roast beef piled on a sesame seed hoagie with house au jus sauce.
Starters include buffalo wings with celery and your choice of dressing, garlic bread and garlic cheese bread. Choose from an individual-sized salad, or get a big one to share. As for pies, specialty pizzas like the BBQ chicken, taco with refried bean sauce, and the garlic chicken with white garlic sauce are all favorites.
