What are Haines’ Best Spots?

Is Haines worth a visit? Definitely a YES! This place is one of the gems that is often missed by many.  This region is known for the glaciers, Bald eagle preserves and the popular July State fair.

We narrowed down a few places that should top your list of Haines’s best places to visit.

Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve

Witness the gathering of the largest balding eagles. Every November a large group of eagles descends upon this preserve to feast off on the late-season run of salmon. These preserves are restricted however rafting and jet boat tours are great ways to see these magnificent creatures.

Haines – Skagway Fast Ferry

Take this fast ferry and witness more beautiful scenery. Along the fast route, you will see breathtaking waterfalls, wildlife and eagles perched up high. The amazing crew of this ferry will provide you with much-needed information about the history of Haines wildlife.

Chilkat State Park

From the rainforest to glacier views, these are the scenery you will see on your amazing walk through this park. This is also known as one of the most spectacular campgrounds. Campsites are spacious and offer lots of great hiking opportunities.

Some would wonder, what is so good about this place!? Do not Judge the Hammer yet! This place is so interesting you would want more time to explore!  Take a look for yourself how someone can be so creative to make a hammer with different shapes and sizes. This place is worth seeing.
