All bookworms visiting Soldotna would want to stop by the Soldotna Public Library in 235 N. Binkley Street to get a glimpse of the plethora of reading materials and join in some fun and exciting events. The facility offers different events almost every week.

Activities for Children

Go and grab you kids, visit the Public library’s website any day you can. Kids ages 18 months up to 5 years old can join the library’s Bouncing Babies Story time on July 15, 2020 at 10:30am to 11:00AM and Small Fry Story Time on July 21.

Activities for Adults

On July 9, 2020 at exactly 5pm, there will be a live demo on how to make your own bug spray. There will also be a demo on how to create honey from fireweed outside your home. The month of July will be filled with various cooking classes and making different types of food. If you are unable to go to the venue, there will also be videos available online in the city’s official website for you to watch at home

Online Events

Due to the world’s current situation, the library’s events and activities will now be held in the safe comforts of our homes through their interactive and instructional live videos. This is to ensure the safety and health of the visitors and the staff. This method could also ensure that non-residents can also join the future occasions.

Before the pandemic, these activities were often held on site. Despite the worldwide situation, locals and even outsiders can join Soldotna’s fun-filled events and activities for the whole family to enjoy!
