Hosted at the Soldotna Creek Park, the Frozen Riverfest is a winter festival with live music, delicious food, and a beer garden. This festival also features local brewers and international breweries, bonfires, and games for the whole family to enjoy. Some of the breweries the Frozen RiverFest feature are the Denali Brewery Company, Arkose Brewery, Homer Brewing Comoany, King Street Brewing Comoany, Barnoff Island Brewing, along with the city’s very own Kenai River Brewing and St Elias Brewing. Drinking guests can pay for a cool 16 oz stainless steel cup and four drink tokens, and there’s no charge for non-drinkers guests.
A cool thing about this event is that all proceeds support the Tustenmena 200 Sled Dog Race and the Kenai Watershed Forum. To attend this event, you must show an ID to prove you’ve over the legal age of drinking or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to enter. Remember to dress warm and plan on having a fantastic time at the unique Frozen Riverfest!
Despite the Froze Riverfest being centered on offering brews, this annual event is family-friendly and is operated by the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce. The live music and fireworks are what really make this festival feel like it’s a fun event for the whole family. Defy the winter cold and join the Frown Riverfest at this outdoor party!
